Visiting the Christmas Market in Basel, Switzerland

Visiting the Christmas Market in Basel, Switzerland

Last week, we went to the Christmas market in Basel, Switzerland. As a newbie to photography, it was quite difficult for me to take pictures there and I wasn’t sure whether I should publish them here or not. However, it was such a happy and fun evening that I wanted to share them anyway 🙂

The market stalls are located at the main squares, but als stretch through smaller streets. Next to delicious food and drinks, you can also find local crafts, art and also a lovely “enchanted forest” for children there. The smell of roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and – of course – melted cheese fills the air and beautiful lights and unique decorations catch your eyes on every step you take.

If you’re in the area and enjoy visiting Christmas markets, it is definitely worth a visit!
