Hi everyone! I had a pretty lazy weekend and spent most of the time relaxing at the pool and reading in my garden. However, I really needed some time to rest and just felt like spending a couple of calm and uneventful days.
Some day last week, I noticed that I had reached 100 followers on my blog! Thank you so much! This makes me incredibly happy, especially considering that I only post about 1-2 times a week! So, thank you again for being here, for reading my posts and commenting, I really appreciate it!
(Mini) Book Haul
After finishing “The House of Silk” by Anthony Horowitz, I was in the mood for some fantasy again. Shockingly, I recently ran out of books to read! So I went to the book store and stumbled upon two titles I’ve been wanting to read forever: “The Name of the Wind” by Patrick Rothfuss and “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs. I’ve heard so many good things about both of these titles and I’m really excited to start reading!
I also bought a calligraphy beginner’s kit, as I’ve been wanting to get into hand lettering for ages. It comes with a book and two calligraphy pens. The book starts with a short history of writing and printing and then moves on to easy exercises that slowly build up. Working my way through the exercises felt strangely nostalgic, like being in first grade again and learning how to write. Interestingly, after doing the exercises for only a couple of hours, I can already see a slight change in my normal handwriting!
I have no idea how I could have missed out on infused water until now! One of my favourite YouTube fitness gurus, Joanna Soh, recently published a video about the benefits of drinking infused water on a daily basis. So I decided to finally give it a try and guess what – I’m addicted now! It’s so refreshing, especially on a hot summer day.
