Hey everyone! A couple of weeks ago, I blogged about my decision to try the famous 10-step Korean skincare routine. After reading „The Little Book of Skin Care“ by Charlotte Cho and extensively researching Korean beauty products and their ingredients, my long-awaited order arrived last week!
Unfortunately, Charlotte Cho’s online shop “Soko Glam” doesn’t ship to Germany and it’s actually still quite difficult to find Korean beauty products here. You can find them on Amazon, but the shipping costs are high and you have to buy from a whole bunch of different sellers if you want to get more than two or three products. However, I found this German online shop called „Love My Cosmetic“. They sell all the famous brands, you can click here to visit their website.
The 10-step Korean beauty routine normally comprises the following steps, although you don’t have to go through all the steps everyday:
Step 1: Oil cleanser
Step 2: Water-based cleanser
Step 3: Exfoliator
Step 4: Toner
Step 5: Essence
Step 6: Serum / booster / ampoules
Step 7: Sheet mask
Step 8: Eye cream
Step 9: Moisturiser
Step 10: Sunscreen
My main skin problems and ingredient research
My main skin problems are:
- combination skin
- old, pittet acne scars
- deep / blind pimples all over my chin area
- white heads/ black heads
On my search for products that could improve my skin conditions, I found out that next to a thorough cleansing regimen, ingredients like snail mucin, vitamin C or whitening products might help me to achieve a smoother and brighter complexion. As always, I also made sure that the products don’t contain hormonally active substances or microplastic.

You might have noticed that these are only 9 products – I skipped on the “serum”. Firstly, because I read that the lines between “essence” and “serum” are quite blurry and secondly, I simply wanted to save some money. Serums are on the pricier side of beauty products and I already had a shopping card full of products. However, I would have loved to get KLAIRS “Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum”, so perhaps I’ll purchase it next time!
I’ll be sure to post an update either 2 weeks or 4 weeks on my new skincare routine, so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested in the results! I’m also thinking about writing reviews for some of the products.
See you soon 🙂
