It’s raining heavily outside, I have a hot cup of tea next to me and my cat is dozing in my lap – time to look back on an my September favourites!
Dove original 0%
You know I’m a bit picky when it comes to ingredients. I’m trying to avoid microplastics and hormonally active substances, and I’m also aware of the issue with aluminium in deodorants. However, it’s quite difficult to find a good aluminium-free deodorant that works AND doesn’t dry out and irritate your skin – thanks to the additional alcohol they put in there. I recently tried out Dove’s new “original 0%”, which contains neither aluminium nor alcohol, and I have to admit that this one really works. It also has a very pleasant smell, I love it!
Essie: Eternal Optimist
I’ve been loving this colour recently, it’s a bright dusty pink that perfectly matched the warm late-summer weather.
The weather has been exceptionally warm and sunny over the past weeks here. As I absolutely cannot stay inside my house when the sun is shining and it’s warm outside, I went for a lot of walks. Indian summer is such a magical time of the year and I wanted to enjoy every minute of it.
It’s actually still a bit too warm for hoodies, but do I care? Absolutely not! Hoodie season is here and it’s here to stay!
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s while working on my mini tassel garland. The story is absolutely absurd, but the characters are lovable and it has such a cosy and feel-good vibe to it. And Audrey Hepburn is such a beauty! I highly recommend it.
I read Stephen King’s classic horror novel “It” when I was in my teens, so of course I wanted to watch the new adaptation. It was so terrifying, the people who sat next to me left halfway through the film. However, I have to admit that it was also very entertaining – it was spectacular, crazy and the acting was absolutely brilliant. Pennywise is portrayed very close to his original evil – but also very childish – character. Don’t watch it if you’re afraid of clowns 😉
I’ve been eating so many blueberries this month! As a snack in between, as addition to yoghurt or in blueberry tarte – they’re just so delicious and healthy!
See you soon 🙂
